This weekend’s Easter holiday means the City of Regina has limited hours over the weekend for many of its services.
People who have garbage or recycling scheduled to be picked up this weekend will still see it picked up as usual, but city cemeteries including Riverside and Memorial Park and the Regina Cemeteries office will be closed. The Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre and city offices also are to be closed.
Here’s a look at what’s available to the public:
Landfill: Closed Friday. Open Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 7 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Regina Transit: Available Friday using Sunday schedule and routes. Info Centre and RideLine are closed. Regular weekday service resumes Monday.
Paratransit: Available Friday using holiday schedule (8 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Regular hours on Saturday and Monday.
North West Leisure Centre: Closed Friday and Sunday. Open Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., and Monday from noon to 6 p.m.
Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre: Closed Friday and Sunday. Open Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., and Monday from noon to 6 p.m.
Regina Sportplex (Lawson Aquatic Centre and Fieldhouse): Open Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., and Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Parking Meters: Not in effect Friday.
