A Moose Jaw business pleaded guilty last week to a noise bylaw ticket.
Kyra Klassen, a local entrepreneur of Kyra’s Dance Fitness Studio had a few charges under the bylaw, but the others were dropped once the guilty plea was entered. The fine is $150 with a victim’s surcharge.
Sgt. Kevin Pilsworth of the Moose Jaw Police Service explains what happened from the police’s perspective.
“In situations where we have multiple tickets of a similar occurrence, and it’s a situation where the matter needs to be resolved on the court level, it’s not uncommon as part of a problem-solving attempt, a resolution will be come into effect in a similar fashion,” said Pilsworth.
Pilsworth said he understands there will be a change of location for the business.
“It’s our belief that should have a huge impact on that situation there, and the problem has been essentially resolved,” he said.
