The Regina Police Service is investigating a pair of robberies that investigators believe were committed by the same individual.
In a media release issued Thursday, the police said they received a report Wednesday at approximately 5:10 p.m., of a robbery in the 2200 block of Broad Street. A man carrying what the police called “a pointed weapon” entered the business and demanded money and property. After getting some property, he ran off.
Shortly afterward, officers were called to a business in the 2300 block of Albert Street after another robbery. The suspect, who was carrying a similar weapon to the one used in the Broad Street robbery, demanded money and property. After his demands were met, he ran off.
There weren’t any injuries in either incident.
The suspect is described as white, between 35 and 45 years old, approximately 5-foot-5 and heavy set with a salt-and-pepper beard. He was wearing a grey long-sleeved shirt, black pants and white shoes.
Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
