There are two dream homes up for grabs and the chance to own them could help save lives.
STARS launched its annual home lottery Wednesday and the prizes include not just two grand-prize homes near Regina and Saskatoon but also the Lucky Stars 50/50 that is now up to $875,000.
That amount is the largest payout in Saskatchewan’s 50/50 history.
It is hoped this will entice supporters of the emergency helicopter service to buy a ticket.
“STARS relies on the support of our allies across Saskatchewan to keep us on the cutting edge of critical care,” said STARS president and CEO Andrea Robertson. “A STARS lottery ticket gives you the chance to win some terrific prizes and ensures that each person who needs emergency medical care receives it quickly.”
“A red STARS helicopter is a beacon of hope for those in moments of need,” Robertson added. “When you support STARS, you ride along with us on every mission.”
The two homes, one in Pilot Butte east of Regina and the other in Greenbryre Estates near Saskatoon, are each worth more than $1.5 million.
But the lottery also features five dream vacation packages, three vehicles or their cash value, and an early bird Ultimate Adventure Package prize, totalling $257,979.
The early bird prize is available to those who buy a lottery ticket before June 27. The draw is to be made on July 27.
Final draws are to be made on Aug. 1 with the ticket deadline on July 18.
