What started as the investigation of a fatality in a single-vehicle crash has turned into a homicide case for the Regina Police Service.
In a media release Thursday, police said the death of 30-year-old Denny Troy Jimmy now is being considered a murder.
On Tuesday, officers responded to the area of Fifth Avenue and Lindsay Street at about 8:45 p.m., after receiving a report of a single-vehicle collision. When they arrived, the officers found a dead man inside the vehicle.
The subsequent investigation has led police to believe that Jimmy was murdered.
