The Regina Police Service is looking for a suspect after a home in Regina’s Normanview neighbourhood was hit by a gunshot early Thursday.
In a media release issued Friday, the police say they got a call Thursday at around 8:20 a.m., that a shot had been fired at a house in the 5500 block of Second Avenue North.
The residents of the house told officers they first noticed something amiss when they saw a pile of dust on the floor that turned out to be drywall dust from a hole in a wall. They then found a hole through one of the home’s outside walls and noticed that the screen of their television had been broken.
Neither resident of the house recalled hearing a shot overnight.
“Police investigation includes physical evidence at the scene and a canvass of the neighbourhood for any potential video or witness evidence,” the media release said. “At this time, no suspects have been identified.”
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
