A 20-year-old man and three boys all face multiple arson charges after a series of fires in Regina between February and June.
In a media release, the Regina Police Service says a fire was set in a vacant house in the 1100 block of Cameron Street on March 27.
An investigation determined that three suspects — the adult and two of the youths — broke into the home and set fire to items inside. The home was a total loss.
The police release adds that the same suspects and another boy allegedly set a number of garbage bin fires in North Central Regina over the past four months.
After being identified, the man was arrested and charged with seven counts of arson. He’s to appear in court on July 11.
Two 12-year-old boys were arrested and each faces nine counts of arson. They’re to make their first appearances in Youth Court on July 31.
As well, a 13-year-old boy has been charged with six counts of arson. He’s to appear in Youth Court on Aug. 4.
