School’s out for the summer in Saskatchewan

Students in Saskatoon and Regina will likely be shelving their textbooks, prepping for the park and cranking up the tunes Thursday, as most students and teachers mark the day as the last one of the 2018-19 school year.

Classrooms in Saskatoon will empty for the summer later today; public school kids had their last day of classes on Wednesday. Catholic students wrap up the school year Thursday.

Regina’s public and Catholic school boards both have June 27 marked as the last day for students.

Even as kids start their care-free summer plans, drivers are reminded that school zone speed limits are still in effect.

School zone speed limits end on Sunday in Saskatoon, but remain in effect throughout the summer in Regina.
