A number of areas in southeastern Saskatchewan — including the city of Regina — are under a severe thunderstorm watch.
According to Environment Canada, “conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.”
In addition to Regina, the watches cover areas around Carlyle, Oxbow, Carnduff, Bienfait, Stoughton, Estevan, Weyburn, Radville, Milestone, Fort Qu’Appelle, Indian Head, Lumsden, Pilot Butte, Humboldt, Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan, Foam Lake, Kamsack, Canora, Preeceville, Moosomin, Grenfell, Kipling, Wawota, Yorkton, Melville and Esterhazy.
