Enviroment Canada issued several severe thunderstorm watches and warnings across parts of northern, central and southern Saskatchewan Saturday afternoon.
According to Environment Canada’s weather statement, “meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to toonie size hail and heavy rain.”
As of 6 p.m., the severe thunderstorm warnings blanketed the following areas:
- Meadow Lake
- Big River
- Green Lake
- Pierceland
- Pelican Narrows
- Cumberland House
- Creighton
- Prince Albert
- Shellbrook
- Spiritwood
- Duck Lake
As of 6 p.m., the severe thunderstorm watches covered the following areas:
- Moosomin
- Grenfell
- Kipling
- Wawota
- Yorkton
- Melville
- Esterhazy
- Carlyle
- Oxbow
- Carnduff
- Bienfait
- Stoughton
- Estevan
- Weyburn
- Radville
- Milestone
- Lloydminster
- Cree Lake
- Key Lake
- Île à la Crosse
- Buffalo Narrows
- Beauval
- La Loche
- Cluff Lake
- La Ronge
- Clearwater River Provincial Park
- Prince Albert National Park
