Canadian country music singer Brett Kissel is set to open for Garth Brooks on Aug. 9, when Brooks brings his North American stadium tour to Regina’s Mosaic Stadium.
The agency promoting Brooks’ Aug. 9 and 10 shows announced the news Tuesday morning.
Kissel’s We Were That Song recently won a 2019 Juno Award for country album of the year.
He also won a Juno in 2014 for breakthrough artist of the year, and a Canadian Country Music Association award in 2017 for male artist of the year.
The Aug. 9 show is set to start at 7 p.m.
Tickets are on sale through ticketmaster, or at the Mosaic Stadium box office in Regina.
Brooks’ Aug. 10 show, which was announced first, sold out within an hour.
The Aug. 9 show has yet to sell out.
Later Tuesday, Evraz Place announced it had released more tickets for Brooks’ show.
