Regina police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy with assault after he allegedly bear sprayed people at a business on south Albert Street Tuesday night.
A news release from the police service said a teen entered a business on the 4600 block of Albert Street shortly before 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
That’s where the alleged bear spray incident happened, the release said, then the suspect ran off.
About 15 minutes after midnight, on Wednesday morning, “police received reports of a male causing a disturbance on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue” in the city’s north end, according to the release. “Through the investigation, the male youth was arrested and charged in relation to the incident involving bear spray earlier in the evening.”
The teen is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon.
He’s set to appear in youth provincial court Wednesday afternoon.
