Regina police have charged a 12-year-old boy with conveying a false message after they found a social media post with an image of a gun and a general threat to the city’s schools.
Police members got a tip on Monday about the social media post.
After they found the creator of the social media post, a 12-year-old boy, they arrested and charged him.
“The situation was resolved after police determined there is no danger to schools related to this incident,” a media release from police said.
The boy appeared in youth court on Tuesday morning to face the charge.
