Regina firefighters are figuring out the cause of a house fire Monday evening that engulfed a home in North Central, a block north of Dewdney Avenue; it happened on the 1400 block of Athol Street.
In an email, acting deputy chief of operations, Gord Hewitt, said the first arriving crew at the house found flames at the home threatening properties on both sides of it.
“They managed to get the fire under control and contain it to the main fire occupancy. They were able to gain access to the property and conduct a full search,” Hewitt said.
The home was evacuated of two people, who were relocated; no pets were injured, he said.
