A string of incidents over the past month and a half has resulted in 45 charges against a 23-year-old Regina man.
The man was arrested Monday night after a standoff with officers from the Regina Police Service at a home in the Uplands neighbourhood. He was the subject of outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest.
According to a media release from the police, the incidents began on June 26 with the theft of merchandise from a business on Prince of Wales Drive. The last incident occurred Monday before the man was arrested.
The lengthy list included thefts of clothing, licence plates, a vehicle and other goods, as well as an attempted break-in.
The man faces 24 counts of breach of probation, five counts of theft under $5,000, five counts of driving a vehicle while prohibited, three counts of shoplifting under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and one count each of mischief under $5,000, possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of break-in instruments, theft over $5,000, and theft of a motor vehicle.
He made his first court appearance Tuesday.
