Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for areas in southwestern Saskatchewan.
The alert, which was issued Wednesday at about 3:15 p.m., covers areas around Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Val Marie and Cypress Hills.
A severe thunderstorm warning, which was given around 3:50 p.m., has been lifted.
“Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain,” the weather service said in its release.
