Regina police have charged a 23-year-old Winnipeg man with aggravated assault after an incident at a business on south Albert Street early Tuesday morning.
In an emailed media release, the police service said its members were called to the 4200 block of Albert Street, near the intersection of 29th Avenue, at about 1:25 a.m.
The email said the man “had entered the business, took some items, and a physical altercation between the male and an employee occurred.”
Regina police said that when the man left the business, he allegedly assaulted a person outside before running way.
Police found and arrested him in the area of Albert Street and 13th Avenue.
Kristopher Jordan Holomay now faces several charges, including assault, aggravated assault, theft under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
He was to appear in Regina Provincial Court to face the charges on Tuesday.
