I don’t know what’s worse, Major League Baseball babies who cry about balls and strikes or the bad and sometimes egregious ball and strike calls we’ve seen from the umpires.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has moved the needle closer to getting automatic strike zones in Major League Baseball.
Two years ago Manfred was clearly against a computer calling balls and strikes. Last year, a headline read that he was open to it.
Well, here we are in 2019 and Manfred has moved again, saying an automatic strike zone would be extremely helpful to the league.
He talked more so on being able to adjust the strike zone to combat fluctuations in offence and see consistency across the league.
I’m more in favour of an automated strike zone so we don’t see buffoonery from the likes of Aaron Boone or Josh Donaldson or Bryce Harper or the other usual suspects who are belligerent fools towards plate umpires.
