Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm watches in southern Saskatchewan.
The watches are in effect for areas at the southeastern tip of the province. The areas near Oxbow, Carnduff and Beinfait are all on alert for conditions that could produce strong winds, heavy rains and even hail.
“A cold front tracking eastwards across southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba is triggering scattered thunderstorms this afternoon,” the warning from Environment Canad read. “Some of these thunderstorms could reach severe thresholds. The threat for severe thunderstorms will diminish late this evening.”
