A 29-year-old Regina man charged in connection with the 2017 death of a three-month-old boy was arrested Monday afternoon.
Earlier on Monday, police asked for the public’s help in locating Catlin Wade Goodwill, who was wanted on a charge of manslaughter. In the online obituary for Keenan Julius Spencer, Goodwill is listed as the little boy’s father.
On Oct. 14, 2017, officers were dispatched to a local hospital for a report of the death of a three-month-old boy. After a lengthy investigation by police and the Saskatchewan Coroners’ Service, a manslaughter charge was laid against Goodwill.
Police obtained a Canada-wide warrant for Goodwill, but officers were able to find and arrest him without incident on Monday afternoon.
Goodwill is expected to make his first court appearance on the charge on Tuesday afternoon.
