'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
Late last week, the Regina Humane Society sent out a plea for help after it was overrun by kittens following a large seizure in a possible hoarding case.
On Monday, the humane society reported that nearly all 79 kittens had been adopted.
“After just two days, most of the animals had been adopted by the end of day Friday,” Bill Thorn, the humane society’s director of marketing and public relations, said in an email. “There are still a few in recovery, but we hope that they too will be off to new homes shortly.”
When the humane society talked about adopting the kittens, it suggested it would reduce fees until Aug. 31 to speed up the process. Now that most of the seized kittens have found new homes, the regular fees are back in place.
