Darrell Davis: Our gang at the Green Zone

Woodsy and I are always willing to argue with somebody on the Wise Guys. So adding Greg Moore — AKA “Wheels” — to the Green Zone adds somebody else we can disagree with. Not that Woodsy is always right. Nor is our host, Jamie Nye.

That’s what makes our show so much fun. Even though we like each other, we can disagree. All three of my cohorts are wrong on things, like teams presenting video tributes to returning athletes, even for somebody who spent four measly seasons with a franchise yet never won a championship. Hello, Josh Donaldson.

Jamie, Woodsy and Wheels also like video review. Even though it’s ruining every sport that uses it, that video review will never be perfected obviously can’t prevent egregious officiating mistakes and has taken away the spontaneity that used to be the best thing about sports.

I’m sure we’ll agree on a few things, maybe that curling games should be shortened to eight ends or baseball should banish the designated hitter. We haven’t yet figured out everyone’s take on every subject. I can see the days when Wheels and I agree on something that Jamie and Woodsy adamantly oppose. We may summon Glen Suitor or Drew Remenda to break the tie. What a crew!
