Those looking to get lost for the long weekend can do so at Cedar Creek Gardens.
Brad Crassweller has two corn mazes on his eight-acre field that opened on Friday.
One of the mazes is designed for kids and is more straightforward while the other is more challenging.
“You get a good computer program, for one. My son designed it all this year so it’s kind of fun. We can put whatever we want in the maze and cut it out,” Crassweller told The Greg Morgan Morning Show earlier this week.
Before cutting, Crassweller said he spray-paints the route in the field, something that takes about two days.
The corn maze doesn’t stop growing so he also has to cut it regularly, he said.
The maze should stay open until Thanksgiving weekend, or possibly longer depending on weather.
But for those who would prefer to search for something besides an exit, gem mining is another activity being offered.
Bags of paydirt will be available for purchase and kids can identify the precious metals they find using pans and trays.
