Battlefords RCMP are hailing a “major seizure for the community” after a search warrant in North Battleford turned up drugs worth a total of $750,000 in street value.
Police said in a release they searched a home on the 1200 block of 107th Street on Sunday morning, but no-one was inside.
Instead they found guns, drugs and several items believed to be stolen.
Among the drugs found were about three kilograms of crystal meth, six kilograms of powder cocaine, 288 grams of crack cocaine, 870 grams of fentanyl and several vials of steroids.
RCMP also discovered 15 long rifles, 11 semi-automatic pistols, three revolvers, a tazer, canisters of bear spray and thousands of rounds of ammunition in the home.
Stolen power tools and a stolen 2016 Dodge Ram truck were also recovered.
Police noted while no-one was found in the home, charges are pending and the investigation is expected to continue over several weeks.
“This is a major seizure for the community and the Battlefords RCMP will continue to focus on these types of investigations,” the release said.
