Regina police members are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly had some forceful bargaining tactics when trying to sell a garden tractor.
In an emailed news release, police say the man allegedly pointed a gun at his intended customer after he refused to buy the tractor.
The news release said it happened at about 4 p.m. on the 3500 block of Dewdney Avenue on Sunday, near the intersection with Elphinstone Street.
“A male suspect drove into the area and unloaded a garden tractor from his truck. The suspect wanted the 33-year-old male victim to buy the tractor,” the emailed release said.
After that, the victim apparently walked away, uninjured. Police said the men didn’t know each other before the attempted sale.
The alleged tractor seller is Indigenous, 5-foot-10, has short brown hair and was wearing dark sunglasses and a vest at the time of the incident.
The man was apparently driving a blue, Ford F150 truck, from the year range 2004 to 2010. It didn’t have a tailgate, and had a broken, passenger-side tail light. It also had “a dent on the passenger side of the box,” the release said.
Anyone with information about the incident should call police.
