A big acquisition is being made by Brandt Industries Ltd.
The Regina-based company is acquiring Eastern Canada-based Nortrax, a move that will see it own and operate all of John Deere’s construction and forestry dealerships across the country.
That would mean 56 dealerships and more than 30 other service points in those sectors.
“The addition of Nortrax’s impressive branch and distribution network gives us an unprecedented opportunity to offer customers anywhere in Canada a consistent customer support experience, no matter where their projects take them,” read a statement from Shaun Semple, president and CEO of Brandt.
“We are very proud to deliver the quality products and support services that Canadian customers rely on for their success, every single day.”
The deal is expected to close on Oct. 25. The terms were not disclosed.
Editor’s note: A previous version of this story incorrectly reported that Brandt had acquired all of John Deere’s dealerships, regardless of sector. This story has been corrected and updated.
