Regina police have arrested and charged a woman and a man, and are looking for two more men in an apparent kidnapping and robbery case that started in the city’s North Central area and moved to Harbour Landing on Tuesday night.
In an emailed media release, police said it started at a home on the 1200 block of King Street, near the intersection of Seventh Avenue at about 8 p.m.
According to police, three men and a woman invited another man into the home, and then allegedly confronted him with a handgun, a long gun, a machete and a hammer. Police say the suspects then tied up the man, and stole his cellphone, wallet and keys to his car.
The victim freed himself and reported the incident to police.
The police service sent plainclothes officers to survey the stolen vehicle, which patrol officers spotted near the King Street home, the media release said.
The vehicle then went to a business in Harbour Landing, at which point police members arrested a man and a woman.
Police are still looking for two men connected to the incident. They’re asking that anyone who has information about it to call them.
Twenty-six-year-old Arlen Larocque and 20-year-old Jayleen McNab, both from Regina, now face armed robbery, forcible confinement and possession of stolen property crimes; Larocque also faces a charge of gun or gun ammunition possession.
Both are set to appear in provincial court in Regina on Wednesday morning.
