Traffic detoured on Ring Road south after semi starts smoking

Regina police asked drivers to avoid the Ring Road northbound — from south Albert Street to Assiniboine Avenue — as they dealt with a semi-tractor emitting smoke.

In a media release, police said officers and firefighters were called out around 2:30 p.m.

Officers secured the scene and redirected traffic away from the intersection.

The scene was cleared around 4 p.m.
