The NFL has put the NO in New Orleans again.
Last January, the Los Angeles Rams were given a free pass to the Super Bowl when officials ignored a blatant pass interference play in the fourth quarter of a 20-20 tie in the final minutes of the NFC championship game.
On Sunday the same two teams met. Former Manitoba Bisons defensive lineman David Onyemata forced a Jared Goff fumble and Cam Jordan recovered it. With the whistles blowing, Jordan ran 88 yards for what should have been a touchdown.
It was ruled a fumble, but because the play was whistled down, the Saints had to settle for the ball on their own 12-yard line. Former referee and VP of NFL officials, Mike Pereira of FOX, said on television that it was the wrong call. New Orleans was robbed of six points.
The question is this: Is it L.A. love or Saints hate by the NFL? It looks to me as if it has to be one or the other.
