A new lottery by the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation is geared at making one lucky entrant an instant millionaire.
The Touchdown for Kids Millionaire Lottery begins today, and is expected to raise significant funds for both foundations. The final draw date for the grand prize will be December 19, 2019.
Along with the million-dollar grand prize, 13 brand new vehicles, six vacation packages, 41 unique Roughrider experiences, and thousands of other prizes are also available in the lottery.
An early bird prize of $500,000 will be drawn as well for entrants who purchase tickets before November 25, 2019.
The Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation will fund amateur sport, education, and health and wellness initiatives for youth in the province with the Touchdown for Kids Millionaire Lottery.
“This province and Rider Nation give us so much, which is why it’s so important for us to continue to find ways to give back to them,” said Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation Board Chair Craig Reynolds, in a release. “We are excited to partner with the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation not only to create Saskatchewan’s newest millionaire through the Touchdown for Kids Millionaire Lottery but to provide important funding for the children’s hospital as well as kids and communities across Saskatchewan.”
The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation will look to raise funds for the enhancement of maternal and children’s healthcare in Saskatchewan.
“Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation is thrilled to be teaming up with the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation in a made-in-Saskatchewan partnership that will allow one lucky winner to build whatever home, cabin or dream that he or she wants,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, in a release. “Together, we will positively strengthen youth programs across the province and support the round-the-clock medical care needed for those that require Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. The proceeds from this exciting new lottery will help provide world-class equipment and new provincial maternal and pediatric programming connecting Saskatchewan to build healthier futures for our babies, children and families.”
