A 57-year-old Regina woman who was reported missing Sunday was found dead Monday afternoon.
Joan Marie Stricker had last been seen on Sunday morning in the 3100 block of Windsor Park Road near the Arcola East Community Centre.
The Regina Police Service issued a release Monday morning asking for the public’s help in locating the woman. Another release later Monday said her body had been found.
Police said a vehicle matching the description of Stricker’s vehicle had been located Sunday in the RM of Edenwold.
A search was conducted by members of the Regina police, the Saskatchewan RCMP and Search and Rescue Saskatchewan, and Stricker’s body was found approximately 1.6 kilometres from the vehicle.
According to the release, the circumstances of Stricker’s death are under investigation by the Regina Police Service, the Saskatchewan Coroners’ Service and the RCMP.
