The Regina Police Service is investigating a pair of firearms offences that occurred early Tuesday.
Police don’t believe the incidents are related, despite their proximity in time. One occurred at 5:45 a.m., in the 600 block of Athol Street; the other occurred about five minutes later in the 1300 block of Robinson Street.
In the call on Athol, officers who responded were told residents who woke up to banging on their front door saw three masked suspects standing outside.
When one of the residents told the suspects to identify themselves, one of them pulled a gun and demanded to be let in. The homeowner refused and the suspects took off in a car believed to be a silver Honda with a loud muffler.
Police say one of the suspects was wearing a white sweater or jacket, and another was wearing glasses.
According to a media release from the RPS, the second incident involved two men pushing their way into a home while saying they were looking for two women whom the men identified by name.
Police claim one of the suspects then assaulted one of the residents and pointed a gun at another as the men left the house.
One of the suspects was wearing a bandana over his face. There wasn’t a description available for the second suspect.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
