Tell us about yourself
I’m married, a father of three teenage boys, and small business owner for 20 years.
What’s a little-known fact about you?
I have never ridden a horse.
Why should voters hire you?
Because I don’t consider myself a politician but more of a concerned citizen.
Who should we call for a reference?
My kids.
What is your greatest strength? What is your greatest weakness?
My principals. A weakness is my shy introverted way.
Where do you stand on:
Gun laws? Everyone should have the right to self-defence.
The need for more pipelines? Get the government out of the equation. The more the better provided they don’t infringe on property rights.
Western alienation? End all transfer payments.
China? What should our approach be with some of our markets blocked? Get government out of the way. They created this mess in the first place.
Are we facing a climate change crisis? Is carbon tax the answer? No, there is no crisis. No carbon tax, period. You can believe in climate change but you can also believe that it’s not up to government to solve the problem. Let the free market work to make change if people want to choose companies that are using green solutions.
It’s a day off and you can do anything you want. What would it be?
Go for a long drive.
Who inspires you?
Jordan Peterson.
What is your hidden talent?
