A 21-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy face more than 35 charges after drugs, cash and an assault weapon were seized by Saskatoon police.
On Saturday, police did a traffic stop in front of a motel in the 2500 block of 22nd Street West as part of an investigation into reports that a vehicle had been shot at, and that threats were made on social media.
The 21-year-old man was taken into custody and a search warrant was executed at a room in the motel.
That’s where police found the 12-year-old and a loaded .22-calibre assault rifle along with ammunition.
They also found 359 packages of cannabis shatter, pre-packaged soft cocaine, and more than $4,200 in cash.
The charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited firearm.
