An 11-year-old boy was among those arrested after an armed robbery in Regina on Monday evening.
According to a media release from the Regina Police Service, a 15-year-old girl was told by a male acquaintance to go to a house in the 1400 block of Queen Street.
When the girl entered the home, a 19-year-old woman allegedly pointed a gun at her and demanded her personal belongings. Police say an 11-year-old boy with a machete also threatened the victim.
The girl subsequently left the house and called police.
As officers arrived, they saw the 19-year-old woman running away but couldn’t catch her. Two male suspects were arrested and the victim’s belongings were recovered. Officers also found two guns inside the house.
Because of his age, the 11-year-old was released without being charged.
The police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
