A Regina cab driver was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday.
According to the Regina Police Service, the 39-year-old cabbie was dropping off a female customer in the 1900 block of Montreal Street at approximately 2:55 a.m.
A man holding a gun opened the front passenger door of the cab and demanded money from the driver. After the driver surrendered some cash, the woman who had been the passenger in the cab and the robber walked away together.
The cabbie wasn’t injured.
The man with the gun was described as appearing to be Indigenous and approximately 20 to 22 years of age. The woman was described as appearing to be Indigenous, 16 to 18 years old, 5-foot-8, with a tattoo on her left cheek. She was wearing a black jacket and carrying a white backpack.
