Council retroactively slashed $1.33 million in rent owed by the Roughriders.
Snow route tests have apparently gone well for the City of Regina: It’s adding more of them for this year’s looming winter.
The additions account for an extra 11 kilometres, bringing the total to 16 km for the 2019-20 winter.
Snow routes now include the following spots:
Drivers can identify a snow route by a blue sign with a snowflake on it.
The city will declare snow routes when snowfall has reached five centimetres or more.
When the snow route is in effect, vehicles are banned from parking in that section for 24 hours; if the vehicle isn’t moved, it will be ticketed, the city said.
City crews will give notice at 3 p.m. the day prior to a snow route being activated.
