Regina police are warning the public about the latest phone scam making the rounds.
They said people are getting calls from scammers who are pretending to be from government departments, telling people their social insurance number is compromised.
The callers then ask the victims to reveal their SIN over the phone and will often become aggressive, threatening legal action or some form of payment to resolve the issue.

Members of the public are encouraged to report phone scams to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.
