Longtime Ward 9 councillor Terry Hincks was honoured by the City of Regina on Tuesday.
The city unveiled a plaque and renamed a skate park on Rochdale Boulevard in honour of Hincks, who died in October of 2016 at age 64.
Hincks was the northwest ward’s councillor for 13 years. The Regina product had played junior football with the Regina Rams and went on to coach baseball, football and hockey in the city.
In a media release, the City of Regina said it renamed the skate park in Hincks’ honour as a way of paying tribute to “his dedication to public service and commitment to youth involvement in sport.”
