Three youths — including a 12-year-old — were arrested Wednesday in connection with a series of break-ins at some Regina gas stations.
In a media release, the Regina Police Service said the incidents “occurred over the last several days.” The police said e-cigarette products were stolen in each of the break-and-enters.
On Wednesday, officers descended on the 900 and 1000 blocks of Edgar Street, where they found the three suspects, items that had been taken from the gas stations and a stolen vehicle.
A 15-year-old was charged with six counts of breach of probation, five counts of breaking and entering and committing theft, and one count each of attempted break and enter, possession of stolen property over $5,000, evading police and theft of a vehicle.
A 16-year-old is facing five charges of breach of probation, four charges of breaking and entering and committing theft, and one charge each of attempted break and enter, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
The 12-year-old has been charged with breaking and entering and committing theft, attempted break and enter, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
None of the youths can be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They all made their first appearance in Provincial Youth Court on Wednesday.
