Regina police believe they’ve nabbed their man in a string of break-ins that happened about two weeks ago in the Greens on Gardiner and in Lakeview.
They’ve charged an 18-year-old man, whom they say broke into three homes in the Greens and one home in Lakeview late on Oct. 18 and early Oct. 19.
At about 5:50 a.m. on Oct. 19, police responded to a call on the 2100 block of Green Willow Terrace. A resident there said their vehicle and some other items had been stolen after the break-in.
Police members later found that vehicle dumped on the 1700 block of Elphinstone Street.
After investigating later that night, they found the man was apparently involved in three other break-and-enters, including a home on the 4000 block of Lakeview Avenue, and homes in the Greens on Green Apple Drive and Green Poplar Lane.
Officers found and arrested the man on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old was to make his first court appearance Thursday afternoon.
He’s charged with five counts of break and enter, two counts of vehicle theft and two counts of possession of a credit card obtained by crime.
The man also faces charges of possessing stolen property over $5,000 and break and enter with intent.
