Media reports out of North Dakota on Friday said a 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a Warman man on Sept. 8.
Randy Moore, 55, was travelling from Regina to Sturgis, S.D., on US Highway 85 when a truck came into his lane. Moore died after he tried to avoid the collision, police said in a release.
On Friday, the Bismarck Tribune reported Duke Knoll of Platte, S.D., was charged with negligent homicide for his role in the crash south of Grassy Butte, N.D.
A camera mounted on Moore’s helmet took a picture of the truck just before he crashed. A dash camera in a state trooper’s vehicle also captured an image of the truck as the officer responded to the crash.
The newspaper also reported that court documents show Knoll faces a charge of driving under suspension. As well, the Tribune said that Knoll is wanted in North Dakota’s McKenzie County on drug charges.
