The Montreal Alouettes should win the CFL’s East Division semifinal over the Edmonton Eskimos.
The Als feel like a stronger team overall and have a belief system going on with Khari Jones as their leader. Vernon Adams Jr. just wins.
The Eskimos are the league’s most-penalized team and speculation is their head coach is about to be fired.
However, Trevor Harris’ experience in the playoffs feels like a reason to think of an upset. C.J. Gable’s return gives the Eskimos a strong run presence as well, and they have the better defence.
Esks 27, Als 24.
Out West, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are going to put up a heck of a fight. But Bo Levi Mitchell at home in the playoffs is undefeated.
While I would love to see Zach Collaros lead the Bombers to Saskatchewan for the West final, I think it’ll be another date in the West final for Bo and the Stampeders.
Stamps 22, Winnipeg 18.
