A driver is out nearly $1,000 after getting a speeding ticket from the RCMP near Balgonie.
In a tweet Tuesday, the Mounties said an officer with Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan pulled over a driver on a grid road south of Balgonie on Nov. 14.
The officer clocked the pickup truck at 124 kilometres per hour in a 60 km/h zone. That earned the driver a $955 ticket and the vehicle was impounded.

“Remember: speed limits are still in effect on grid roads,” the RCMP said in a second tweet. “They’re there for a reason — for your safety and the safety of others.”
