Wheaton Kia is stepping up once again to host Regina’s Santa Claus Parade, which is to take place Sunday.
Last year, the dealership swooped in to save the event after the previous organizer backed out.
“It was a little bit scary at first but it has just been a great experience. It’s such a fun thing to be a part of and we’ve got an awesome team at the dealership. We’re all kids at heart and we really love being involved in the parade,” Greg Gilbertson of the dealership said during The Greg Morgan Morning Show.
“It was sad to know that it wasn’t going to happen, when it was cancelled originally. So we figured we could make it go and keep it going. It has been successful so far and we’re going to keep going in the future.”
The parade is to start at noon at Second Avenue North and Albert Street. It will travel north along Albert to the Northgate Mall, where people can enjoy hot chocolate and take photos with Santa Claus.
Albert Street will be closed in both directions between Second Avenue North and the mall.
