An assault charge against Saskatchewan Rivers MLA Nadine Wilson has been withdrawn.
She had been charged in March after an incident with a family member.
Wilson’s lawyer, Mark Brayford, said in a release that Wilson had gone through an alternative mediation process, which he said was successful, so the charges were dropped.
The mediation process is used in some cases when there is a conflict involving family members or people who know each other.
Jim Billington, the director of communications and press secretary to Premier Scott Moe, also issued a statement Wednesday. In it, Billington confirmed that Wilson “will remain a member of the Government Caucus.”
