8:30 – Trudeau is facing criticism over his soft approach with China while protesters in Hong Kong fight for democracy against the communist regime. Hong Kong official Emily Lau has called on Trudeau to speak up about the situation, and accused him of letting business shape his China policies. The situation is made more complex, however, by the two Canadian political hostages being held in China and Canada’s process to extradite Huaweu executive Meng Wanzhou. To help analyze the situation in Hong Kong and how Canada should respond, Gormley is joined by foreign affairs expert and former Hong Kong Consul Colin Robertson.

12:00 – Movember is almost over, and the employees at the Regina Co-op Refinery are expecting to end the month with more than $40,000 raised for men’s health. The company raised about $30,000 last year, and they’re on track for a big improvement this year. So far employees have raised more than $19,000, which the company will match at the end of the month. Kris Dutchak is an occupational health nurse at the refinery and one of the drivers behind their highly-successful Movember campaign. Dutchak joins Gormley now to discuss their success, their moustaches, and why it’s such an important cause.
