Despite a distinct size advantage, a group of cattle northwest of Prince Albert wanted nothing to do with a wild pig that wandered onto their pasture.
Retired teacher Ron Craswell was driving kids home from school on his bus on Nov. 13, when he spotted the creature from the road. He said the encounter lasted about 10 minutes before the animal ran off.
“(The cow and the pig) were looking at each other. The boar was aggressive,” he said.

Ryan Brook, who tracks and researches wild pigs for the University of Saskatchewan, said Thursday due to their rapid growth in Saskatchewan, it would only be a matter of time before they start appearing in towns and cities.
Craswell said it was the first time he has seen a wild pig in his nearly 40 years living in the area.
