Teens charged after two armed robberies in Moose Jaw

Two 14-year-old boys have been charged in connection with a pair of armed robberies in Moose Jaw.

The most-recent robbery occurred Saturday just before 7 p.m., when officers responded to an ice cream shop in the city for a report of a robbery.

A video from the store showed two armed males rob the business of cash before running off.

According to the Moose Jaw Police Service, the canine unit helped officers locate clothing and a weapon early Sunday that they believe were used in the incidents. Those discoveries led them to the two suspects, who were arrested.

The teens also are suspects in a robbery at a Moose Jaw gas station on Nov. 29.

The boys, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are to appear in court Monday.
