'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
A dog wasn’t hurt Monday evening after a Regina Police Service officer fired three shots at the animal.
According to a media release from the police, the incident happened at about 8:50 p.m., when officers went to the 500 block of Victoria Avenue for a 9-1-1 call from a woman asking for help.
When two officers arrived, a dog that police described as “aggressive” ran at the officers as they approached the house.
“Police attempted to get back into a position of safety, but the dog charged at one of the officers,” the media release said. “The member fired three rounds at the dog. The dog retreated and its owner came outside and restrained the animal.”
The dog was taken inside the house and police continued their investigation.
